My camping chair broke at the workshop, it was "only" 10 + years old! I do have others so must take one down, its hard sitting on the welder even with a cushion.

Its the right height to sit on! Took a chair down so sorted. Did a lot of moving stuff to get my wheeled frame out from under chassis, had to lift it up onto its side to slide it back to where it lives. Now my back has been hurting the last few days, knot in muscle , and by the time I called at mums to make her tea the pain jell had worn off. Came over feeling off so did her sandwich and drink and came home, more jell and a lie down on my recliner and its better. The ex is going to see to mum later and sort her out.

Do you not fancy treating yourself to a wheeled height adjustable workshop stool? They are cheap as chips on amazon and soo comfy! got to be better than a camping chair?

Sorry your backs giving you grief. I would say rest up but I know you will be back at it like a trooper in the morning! How long until your car is ready for a run out anyway?

Some time next year I hope Sarah, all down to £s now. Went to Nicks to fault find the headlamp blowing fuse on his 31 roadster, turned out to be a wire hanging out of the instrument back lights . That is why it was intermittent, found bad earths on headlamps as well so all sorted. He gave me 2 silencers and a length of Exhaust pipe so I might be able to make a start on that tomorrow. Typical bodged American wiring, I have seen loads on imported VWs.  Back was starting to play up after standing most of the day, its getting better slowly and it normally takes a few days to recover .

I had a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 350 V8 when I was in high school. The engine was bad, so my dad swapped another in from a salvage vehicle. The car ran well, but the radio would only work if you used the left turn signal! I bolted a heavy gauge length of wire between the engine block and the frame, and then the radio worked properly.

Loose wires can cause all sorts of weird issues, and trying to track them down and trace them through a car can be challenging. Anyone who works on cars usually develops some unique language skills.

Everyone of my British cars and motorcycles was cursed with Lucas Prince of Darkness electrics. While I could fix most mechanical problems,rebuild engine, gearboxes etc electrics filled me with dread.

I never had a problem with electrics, my dyslectic brain works sort of logically and I have a good "minds eye"  of seeing stuff. Electronics are something else, I think if I had training that would be different. Nick has a problem with the diesel Mercedes engine that is fitted to the 39? pickup he bought, he asked me to check some of the wiring. I said no you have to get someone who knows that engine, it wont start with the fuel control valve plugged in but does if you unplug it but then plug it back in and it runs fine. Most likely something else faulty and not that valve.
   Looks like I will have to fight through the school traffic this morning to get to mums, not sure if the junior school over the road starts back today. Its raining as well.

 That "fungal?" infection under my boobs and up to my armpit is still hanging on, it was after that very hot spell and sweating a lot. I will keep putting the cream on for another week as pharmacist said it will take at least 2 weeks to clear.
 Might be the last wearing a dress to go shopping day today, autumn has arrived with a bang and temps are falling. Time to get the jeans and trousers out, might be leggings first when its not that cold.

I don't have that but in the summer I have boob sweat so bad I could supply water to Africa. I did by a stop sweat product that seems to work, I use it when I have to go out of the house on hot days. It like new still but the few times I have used it, it worked great. You might look into something like that after this clears up.

Swearword ! McAfee just sent a bill to renew my protection for £160!! Thing is it tells me I need to do stuff and when I log on it tries to charge me £25 to do it. I think I am going to tell them to shove it!
  Also got a message from electric folks to say they are coming to fit a smart meter but I already have one , what with that and a message to say go on my NHS app and confirm my address or I will be taken off the doctors list, yes the one I have been with for 71 years. I dont have a NHS app so will have to call in on docs and waste their time. Can I just say WTF.

Davina, don't take it as a definite truth and YMMW, but using free antivirus protection SW will get you a long way. I haven't ever paid for antivir and I have had a computer virus once (1) in the 35-ish years I've been living on the internet - and I have used the net a lot. I've been using MacOS and Linux in my computers for 15 years, so not quite as many viruses out there that affect me, but before Mac/Linux I used FreeBSD-, Windows- and DOS machines so I've done them all.

And WTF is absolutely needed!

The band my eldest plays drums in are getting rave reviews of their new album, Planet Rock are playing their new single in the US with good feed back. Plug, plug. If you like a UK version of country rock (its more rock than country) have a listen to Wood Burnt Red.
   Doing mum lunch today, need to do some work on the Countryman that is parked on mums drive as well. Sunny and warm today so that works out well.
