I gravitate to them.

There are also these things called "cup and ring" marks all over the UK too. They are ancient rock carvings placed on seemingly random boulders all over the place. They are between 4000 and 2500 years old. Again no one knows what they mean but it must have meant something important for the same message to have spread all over the isles

I love this house up the coast from me. Perched on the rocks and miles from any other building it is so restful. It is called 'The Bathing House' and is a beach retreat belonging to Earl Charles Gray the former British Prime Minister who brought into being the abolision of slavery act and restricted the use of child labour but more importantly invented Earl Grey Tea (My favourite). Square pools have been carved out of the rocks in front of the house which fill with water at high tide and are used as bathing pools after the tide retreated. It is now a holiday rental house you can stay in.

There are 4 barley twist chimney pots on the two stacks so that means 4 separate fire places. Likely 1 reception room, two bedrooms and perhaps a range in the kitchen. You will need them up here as it can be very windy and cold in the winter and the North Sea must crash into the base the house is built on. It can get very rough at times. In the summer though it must be heaven.

Ah but English sparrows (spuggies as we call them) have got a lot of character. They go around in gangs! They may not be as pretty but they are still lovely little things! My folks have a bird bath and there is often 5-7 of them sitting around the rim while they each take turns to take a bath. It's funny to watch!

St Abbs Head Lighthouse, Scottish Borders, perched on top of the cliffs. Very steep  100ft+ drop to my right on a crumbly cliff not the most sensible idea I ever had!
