I think this image is a bit of a metaphor for how I am feeling right now. Trying to stay in the light while all the dark stormy thoughts swirl round me. I have been pretty good at it through my life. I hope I can keep up with the light in the future.

Thanks Philippa. You can't tell but I'm walking across an old victorian railway viaduct. It was chucking it down with rain then this shaft of light came down so I grabbed the shot. opportunist really.

I just realised you thought I took the sandhil crane pic but it was Kellie's image not mine! Wouldn't want to take the credit for someone elses image!

In my experience some of the best pictures come from an unexpected opportunity. You just have to be prepared to grab it when you see it, which very few people are.

I have a small mirrorless camera I take everywhere with me, just in case. If I know I'm going to take shots then I take the big guns.
