At Busch Gardens. Flamingos start out white. Their diet gives them their pink color.
I like flamingos. I actually have one tattooed on my back over my left shoulder

Thanks but it's not a competition Kellie! We don't have flamingos or Sandhill Cranes here so I find your pics fascinating.

I have a rule never to go for a walk without a camera of some kind because you never know what you might come across. You can't take decent shots if you don't have a camera!

Greenfinch, pretty common bird here but a pretty thing when you get a close look at it.

This is a very simple image but I like the contrast between bright sunny flowers and dark stormy clouds. I would love to try something similar in tornado alley when you get those huge menacing storms. Would be awesome.

I've posted a better picture of this lovely lonely house before but this picture just illustrates how lovely the views are from it. The sea covers the rocks at high tide. In the distance is another of Northumberlands great fortresses. I will go on a wander up there perhaps this coming week and get some pics for my blog. This is sort of a sneaky preview!

That ain't going anywhere. I think its sitting on the Whin Sill so it will be rock hard Dolomite. If the Roman wall is still perched on the edge of the sill that house isn't going anywhere!

I'm assuming the 'lovely lonely house' (beautifully said, Sarah!) sits on the shore of the North Sea. Not at all what I imagined! I always imagined raging whitecaps and swirling seafoam. Downright peaceful.

Yes indeed Anni, that is the North Sea. It was a lovely calm day but once the wind gets up it's a different story! see below pic of the local pier (not my pic)
