Dawn Kellie

Had this little guy on one of our fence posts Saturday

It's a black racer non poisonous. Eats mice and other critters

It's harder to love and create than hate and destroy. Love and creation takes more energy. Where hate and destruction can be done with a single word that can haunt you for a life time.

That's pretty cool Kellie! I've see a few adders in the UK which are our only venomous snake they're supposed to be quite rare but I've seen them at least 7 or 8 times. In fact I've seen more adders than the more common grass snake.

What do you do if you get something a bit more nasty?

A black headed gull is not a particularly interesting subject but I do quite like the colourful reflections of the sunset in the water on this one.

That is beautiful, Sarah. Nice pic!

Shouldn't a black headed gull have... I don't know... a black head?

Winter plummage, the sneaky buggers. It took me quite some time to identify it! I'm not very good with gull id!

You did better than I did. I successfully recognized it as a bird.

Thanks Anni! I'm still enjoying the novel by the way. I haven't had much time to read it though as I keep getting bogged down with packing and other stuff due to the impending house move.

Under orders of the queen. Exterminate with extreme prejudice. That orders extends to any slithering creatures that enter the house. Her words "If they get in once they know the way in and the benefits. They can not be allowed to tell their friends."

I absolutely love this bronze horse statue. It is in the huge private gardens in an country estate in North Northumberland near the Scottish border. There was a stunning stately home too, complete with outdoor pool (a rarity in england!) It opened for the public for charity and I got in to have a good nose about. It's a wonderful place. How the other half live ha ha! It's an old image and I really hope they will open their grounds again one day as I would love to improve on this pic.

I love wild flower meadows. This one is at Howick Hall, Built by Earl Charles Grey former PM who oversaw the abolision of slavery act among other things. He also came up with a rather nice tea! It does feel decadent to sit in the tea room which is in the old ball room and have afternoon tea with earl grey tea where it was invented! I've shown the house before in another image but I like the flower meadow on this one.

You sure have a lot of old buildings over there.

Chrissy
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
