no I think you can go more than 5k but I do a yearly oil change since its full synthetic. I replaced the tires this year because they were dry rotted not worn out.

Our car indicates when service is due and as far as I can see it is around 12-14k miles between oil changes. Roughly once per year. Not a Coyote engine though but a 4-cyl diesel. Getting 32 miles per gallon and can easily cruise at 85 mph if the conditions allow (speed limit is 75 or lower).

Switching tyres happens twice per year here. Winter means studded tyres, unless you have a death wish (it's unlawful to use summer tyres in the winter).

But these cuts I have, oh, they need love to help them heal.

Out to self since March 5, 2026. My wife knows it all since June 23.

I had lunch at Doogies yesterday after playing a quick nine holes of golf.
It was busy so I took the table next to the door and watched an elderly lady struggle to get through the double doors with her quad cane.  She had to pause between doors.  I smiled after she made it into the restaurant and she smiled back.  It is good to acknowledge people who are old or disabled rather than pretending they don't exist.

Why learn seasonal color theory? 

Why not?  I wear sample sizes so it helps to be really selective in what clothes I buy.
I learned a lot about beauty standards in exhibiting roses in Rose Shows.
Balance and Proportion often meant the difference between a blue ribbon and being on the trophy table.

Being pretty as a women does give you more respect.

Heard the roar of thunder half an hour  ago from the early bands of the Nor Easter.
Decided to eat the two little filet mignon steaks in the freezer just in case it causes any power outages.
Stew Leonard's had decent prices on beef.  Most likely due to reduced demand because folks can't afford beef and have switched to other foods.

Plan this weekend is to switch over from my summer outfits to cooler weather outfits.
I plan to do more layering this year.

I buy cold cut ends for inexpensive meat snacks.
It is a cheap way to get more protein in my diet.

How is your golf coming along?  How are your roses?  Did giving away some of your roses led to more water in your basement?  Are you in the NE storm?



Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

They are doing quite well though they have had to compete with grass that I never got around to removing this year.  Lots of fat buds that may bloom before winter arrives.
Yes, we expect to get a few inches of rain from the Nor Easter.
