It wasn't nice but I couldn't do anything about it and it didn't hurt so all is well. I might be able to go the rest of the day without opiates, we will have to see.

3 week update on my knees. First of all I am starting to really cut back on the tramadol, I didn't take any before physio yesterday though I did have to take one today (normally I take 2 at a time). I still need a walker/crutches but I suspect switching to a cane sometime next week. Walking still really wipes me out still but I am getting stronger.

My advice is if you are having problems with your knees then talk to a doctor as soon as you can. Knee replacement surgery really sucks,

On a side note my surgeon was nice enough to get an assistant to take a picture of my knee lying on a table. It looks weird.

Sorry that you had to have that done.

I see the surgeon on Monday for my left knee. I have a torn meniscus they found three years ago. A cortisone injection fixed it right up. Now, the MRI shows the torn meniscus has a cyst next to the tear. I don't think I need replacement. They may just remove the cyst and fill it back up with cortisone or something. I'll find out on Monday.

I only hope that you don't need a full replacement. I have to get my other knee done in the new year and I am not looking forward to it. I just have to say that the first 2 1/2 weeks are the absolute worse but then it settles to just sore and annoying. Walking is exhausting and it gets really painful for about 3 hours while trying to sleep.
