One of the biggest mysteries of our time is the identity of the woman sitting in Da Vinci's master piece: The 'Mona Lisa'. Some have said she is the wife of Francesco del Giocondo and others have said it's a transvestite but the director of the Heidelberg University library Veit Probst disagrees.
