We spent the day at Gilbraltar with the monkeys and decent fish and chips.

Great views of Africa.

Nice! I hope you enjoyed your time there Emma, where to next?

I've often wondered if I could set myself a goal of setting foot on all the accessible British Overseas Territories before we loose them forever. The last vestiges of empire. I have an affinity for island bagging and seeing as most if not all are islands I would love to try. Gibraltar is probably one of the easiest to get to. So far I'm 0 for 14 so it's not going well ha ha!

I've only been to 15 of the 50 states. Canada once when I was 8, that made me get a security check when I went in to the Air Force. Mexico twice. Sounds like you are better traveled than I.
I'd like to hit all 50 but I'm not putting it on a bucket list

Better travelled? Ha, did you miss the 0 for 14?!!! Some of those 14 are extremely difficult to reach and some are actually impossible. Apart from Gibraltar and the carribean territories they are all in the middle of nowhere! I might have been to more foreign countries Kellie (only 8 actually) but I bet you have travelled further!

I've been outside the US on three occasions.  Non of which were more than a few days. Yes the US is bigger but technically it's the same country.  Louisiana I'm not sure about, it may be a whole different country. I stand by what I said you are better traveled. I win cause I said so.

Oh its amazing getting close to those monkeys, though one did try to steal a souvenir I bought out of my pocket. Did you go into the caves too?

Yeah but only 8 countries is pretty tame for a non american! I bet most Brits can beat that tally. It's a lot easier in Europe mind. I took a ferry to The Netherlands for example. Actually I've never been to Ireland which is the easiest one of all to get to!

I know it takes as little as 4 days to drive from far north California to central Florida. I've done it twice. I don't recommend it, I ended up with a blood clot in my leg.

The longest flight I've ever been on was 4 and a bit hours to the Greek island of Kos never mind 4 days! I suppose the ferry took 18 hours to get to Rotterdam. My god that was a rough crossing!

Ellen, the caves were beautiful and Charlotte, the monkeys were funny to watch.

We're staying in Cadiz and tomorrow we drive to Tormollina for a couple of days then drive back to Seville for a day before we fly back. The weather's been amazing 60-70 every day.
