Having exited a high level corporate role where i had to hide who i really was -  Ive now  started my transtion FtM a couple of months ago by having my breasts removed. Being  formerly a DD cup this was such an important start point for me.  I am healing well from the surgery and adore my flat chest.

When the healing is done my next steps is a short haircut (A Big step as i have a bit of hair thing) and hormones.

I'm using Joolzz as my transition name and im in the process of changing my name legally from Julia to julian

Hi Julian,

Glad to hear your surgery went well and you are mending nicely.

I understand the hair thing, too. You could just go shorter, but still over the ears through the winter. See how you feel about it. Then, in the summer, go shorter if that's what you would prefer.

There are many styles that are sort of in-between that present a more androgynous look without being a drastic change. Humans don't like drastic change, but small steps are easily accepted. Find a picture of someone who has a style that you like and take that with you to the barber shop. It won't look exactly the same due to facial bone structure, but they can get pretty close.

Hi Lori thank you for the well wishes. It's good to be back lifting weights albeit i have to tread carefully until i heal fully. Having a hair thing ive never liked dramatic changes so your advice is perfect. I think the first stage should be a short earlobe length bob i can slick back and from there take it prgressively shorter to my u;timate style which will be a flat top
