Hello everyone.
It's been a while, but I thought I'd give this place another try. I was a bit surprised to see my old login still works. A bit about me:

I'm 43 and recently finished my master's in Accounting

I've written a romantasy novella series and am currently marketing it on Kindle

I currently live and present as male, though I've dabbled with hormones and dressing in the past

For the last four-ish years I was buried in grad school, slowly grinding through one class at a time. Now that I've finally finished, I'm trying to reconnect with myself and the world a bit.

I love deep, thoughtful conversation. I work a rotating schedule (sometimes nights, sometimes early mornings), so maintaining in-person connections is hard. I'm into AI, 3D printing, resin work, and gaming whenever I get the chance. Big fan of MTG, DnD, and indie games.

I'm also looking to sort out my inner female side — whether that means revisiting transition or simply understanding myself better. I'd love to meet others who are exploring similar questions or who've already made parts of that journey.

Looking forward to being here again. 🙂

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Hello jackiefox5585, and welcome back!

It's really good to see you here again, and I'm glad your old login still opened the door for you. This place remembers its people.

First, congratulations on completing your master's in Accounting. Doing that while juggling a rotating schedule and pacing yourself through one class at a time takes real persistence. You earned that degree the hard way, and I hope you've given yourself a quiet moment to appreciate the weight of that accomplishment.

Your romantasy novella series sounds wonderful. Creating an entire world on the page while pushing through graduate school says a lot about your drive and imagination. I hope the Kindle marketing process brings good things your way.

Many here will relate deeply to what you shared about living and presenting as male while carrying an inner female side that keeps asking for attention. Whether this next chapter leads you toward transition, toward clarity, or simply toward deeper self-understanding, you're in the right place. There's room here for questions, uncertainty, rediscovery, and change at your own pace.

It also sounds like you've spent so much time in "survival mode" over the past few years that reconnecting with yourself is part of the healing process. That's something many of us understand well. You don't have to figure it all out at once. You just have to show up for yourself, the way you're doing now.

Your interests — AI, 3D printing, resin work, gaming, MTG, DnD, indie titles — will fit right in with a lot of folks here. And with your rotating schedule, an online community can offer connection without demanding the impossible from you.

I'm really glad you've decided to give the forum another try. You're welcome here, exactly where you are and exactly as you are.

I look forward to seeing more of your posts. 🙂

With love and support!

Heyy and welcome back. Congratulations on your graduation, it's great when all the effort pays off.

I'm sure being back here will help you reconnect with and explore your gender. It's such a complex thing that we all have similarities but such differences. It's deffo helped me being here as everyone is very non judgemental.

MTG is very fun. My bf is a big MTG fan. I play a little with him and more casually at furry cons and meets. I have a Rin and Seri deck cos I wanted cats and dogs. It's cute even if a little weak!

Hi, Jackie, and welcome back.

Congratulations on completing that degree program. I hope you feel good about what you accomplished and learned in it.

As I'm sure you've already seen, you'll have no trouble finding folks here who are or have been in similar places to where you are with your gender discovery. We look forward to hearing more about your circumstances and process. We all learn from one another.

Thank you all so much. I certainly was caught up in survival mode for a while. It is also a little disappoint to see how brutal the job market is even with a masters degree. The world we live in...

Funnily enough it was actually A.I. that pointed me back here.

That's cool. I've been playing since the late 90's. I have 12 commander decks. 8 of them though I keep tearing down and rebuilding.

Hi Jackie

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you Back to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you back as well.

Your introduction was warm thoughtful and full of life so thank you for sharing it.  It is always wonderful to see returning members.  This site has a wealth of information drawn from the experiences of real people so feel free to browse, comment and add your own experiences too as Lori said.  We all learn from each other.  As Susan mentioned Susan's place remembers it's past members.  I left in 2012 and came back in 2024 after 12 years away and my account was still here.

Finishing your masters is a terrific achievement.  I was 45 when I completed my degree in computer systems and 47 when I earned a graduate teaching diploma in mathematics so congratulations on your accounting masters. You are never too old to learn.  Like you I did much of my study part time so I understand how the slow grind of one class at a time can wear you down.  It takes real perseverance to keep going.

Your mix of interests really stands out.  AI, 3D printing, resin work, gaming, writing your romantasy series, all of it adds depth to who you are.

When I get the chance to play games I usually drift into science fiction. No Man's Sky, Empyrion Galactic Survival, Elite Dangerous, Odyssey.  I am a space junkie at heart so your love of gaming made me smile.

It is also completely okay to be exploring your inner female side at your own pace.  It is never too late to follow your dreams or desires.  You can take things one step at a time.  We are here to listen help and provide the wisdom this community has gathered over the years.  You only have to ask.

I changed my life around before I studied for my degrees.  That was simply the path that suited me.  It does not mean your way is wrong.  Every journey has its own timing and every person deserves the space to discover what feels right.

It is lovely to have you back.  I hope this place gives you connection thoughtful conversation and a sense of ease as you reconnect with yourself after grad school.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets.  Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome Back to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always
