What was the most important lesson you learned in 2025?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

This does not refer to a lesson in a class, continuing education, school, etc.; but, perhaps some realizations you discovered by living, experiencing things, and how you saw others handle a situation.  Maybe it was mistake you made that you wish to never repeat, or conversely, something your did differently this year that you found to be a gem of a way to handle something because of its better results as compared to continuing to do same thing the same way.

So, what was the most important lesson you learned in 2025?

Honestly this year has left me with more questions than answers. If the truth be known I'm pretty emotionally beaten coming out of 2025.

What I have learnt is that I seriously need to work on my mental health in 2026 and find my lost purpose and self esteem.

In 2025, i learned something simple but incredibly important: taking my time.

Telling two close friends that I'm a crossdresser was an amazing moment.
When someone reacts with kindness and acceptance, you suddenly want to open every door at once, to share everything you've kept buried for years.

But i also realized that the other person doesn't always move at the same pace.
They can be supportive and caring, and still feel surprised or uncomfortable if i go too fast.
And that's not rejection, it's just their need for space.

My biggest lesson this year: respecting everyone's rhythm.
Taking a breath, listening, letting the other person process things.
It prevents awkward moments, and it protects the relationships we cherish.
