Quote from: Charlotte Kitty on May 20, 2026, 01:04:21 PMNow this is my favourite work outfit and pretty high up generally. Its one that makes me feel very affirmed on most occasions. Quite low key for me, but it has a cuteness and softness about it. Ill probably get a white blouse with frilly sleeves under to make it a summer option.

And a a Hello Kitty necklace just so everyone knows it's you.

I've been offered a free therapy slot with Birmingham LGBT, specifically to work through my gender journey. Not sure how many sessions I can have, but anything is good with it being free.

I really do need this as massively struggling with my self image and comparing to others. I hope they can help me appreciate myself and come to terms with my journey. My whole transition has taken place both medically and psycologically with no professional input at all. Hopefully this'll help.

That sounds like great news Charlotte! How did you get offered that if you don't mind me asking? I wonder if there is something like that available where I am.

It was just advertised on their website as they're a local lgbtq+ charity. I'm lucky because transgender councelling is the only one they offer to all of the West midlands and not just Birmingham postcodes.

There could well be something near you, probably Newcastle but never know.

I'm hoping they can help me as i really love being a woman, it feels so right and warm. But i definitely have dysmorphia triggered by comparison with others. I don't think its uncommon to be honest. I posted on Threads and loads came back that felt the same.

I hope these sessions are helpful for you.  The session cost is great!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Go for it. Free is good.

That is great news, Charlotte. I think the fact that it is coming through an LGBTQ charity is a big PLUS. It won't be like hiring some psychologist who read about transgender people in a textbook. These will be people who work with us every day. That should make it very helpful. I hope you enjoy it.

Petunia

Charlotte, I hope your session(s) go well for you.

That photo above is gorgeous as is your latest avatar pic.

You really look good in both photos, and I have to say I'm slightly envious of how good you look
And then one day you stop to find,
10 years have got behind you,
no one told you when to run,
you missed the starting gun

Hi Lori
I very much held off discussing gender stuff with my other therapists. I wanted to wait for a therapist with that specific experience. So yeah being from an LGBTQ+ bass is just perfect. I've got a lot to share.

Thank you Petunia and glad you like them. I'm trying to come to terms more with how I look on a minimal effort level and these are just that. I can then build more when I'm ready tondo that.

I hope that you're doing ok too? Anymore purchases of cute clothes?

You're right in that it isn't uncommon at all. And it's not really something limited to trans folks, honestly. I am keeping everything crossed for you that you get someone who is there to listen to you above all. Because I think that's kind of what you need more than anything. You deserve a break, sweetie.

I just want to add, though... I am not a professional but I can always listen, and know a bit of what you're going through. And it's always free. My email is in my profile, Charlotte, if I'm not here. If you ever need someone to talk to that you don't feel you have, at any time. I don't judge.

*big hugs*

I am hoping this works out well for you, sweetie. <3 Because I see a really beautiful lady who gives everything of herself to those around her and often feels trapped in a prison when it comes to herself. I hope they can help you find the key. <3

@Sephirah
Thank you so much Lauren. It really is a rollercoaster right now with bug ups and big downs. I'm at a furry convention now and seeing so many other trans women is both elating and tough. Great that its a space we're all free but i still get envy and compare myself, although most are half my age so have lovely heads of hair.

Luckily my therapist appointment is on Tuesday so i can work on all this.

Thanks for the very kind offer of emailing if i wish. I may do sometime soon and you're also welcome to DM me anytime if you need.

Hugs, Charlotte x

At the furry convention and got a couple of pictures.

Looks like fun

Lori Dee

There's that pretty girl smiling.

Looks like you were in your element and having fun. That is always good to see.
Thanks for sharing.

Yeah so... I want to go to one of those conventions now.

Who doesn't love giant, inflatable things? ;D It is a cornucopia of colour and vibrance. Something that... is at the very core of who you are.

You have a beautiful smile, Charlotte. Made all the more magical when you're in your element.

Let us know how it goes, okay? On Tuesday.

I care about you, sweetie. I think you are too bright a light in the world to be lost. <3

Stottie Girl

Awesome pics Charlotte, there's that beautiful natural smile back again! It's so nice to see.

Looks like you've had a great time. Can you connect with these other trans girls outside of furry meats? Maybe get a friend circle going near you?

Thanks all and I am enjoying Confuzzled. I'll definitely feedback at the end of the con which is also Tuesday when I have my councelling. Probably good as post con depression is a tough thing!

I'm not sure if I'm capable of making friends at the moment. I'm either really disconnected, dont believe I'm worthy of the friendship, or the friendship becomes a weird semi sexual obsession on which I struggle to define mental boundaries. I have serious attachment problems!

On another note here is my first ever attempt at recording me rapping with the start of my first ever lyrics. Not perfect at all, but want to show my journey over time.

Petunia

Charlotte, that is one beautiful photo there. You look like a fresh, radiant young woman.

I hope you can see how happy, relaxed, confident and comfortable you are.
