I'm just worried I'm not going to be able to pull off one of those dresses thats the only thing. Like I'm not really pretty or attractive so they'll be too much. Maybe i should choose something more understated. Everyone will be seeing how cute the dress is but the person in it is ugly. I dunno. I'm not sure thinking about it.

I don't really think I'm cut out to look glamorous or pretty. Better sticking to just casual stuff and events.

I'm gonna pull out

We have a distorted view of what people look like.
Most of my friends are older and show signs of skin seriously damaged by too much time in the sun.
That doesn't stop them from wearing nice clothes to club meetings and parties hosted by the rose club.

I remember wearing simple beach clothes to a summer pot luck that showed off just how young I look.
I realized it would be better to wear nicer clothes to fit in with what others were wearing, so I wore a flashy Lily Pulitzer skirt.  One of the ladies said she would have worn the same if her's still fit.

I agree with 1 or 3. At least for the color.
Before you buy, try it on and see how it looks on you. Don't focus on your face (you already have that); focus on the fit and how it makes you look and feel.

Then it is hair and makeup, and you will look fabulous!

You will rock it my dear, have you seen pics of glam models in sloppy clothes and no make up? They look nothing like the glam pics.

These are skills that come with practice.

It really depends on your comfort level and confidence. I'm always for the more casual in most cases, but that is me. If you wanted to do it, then you can pull it off. My spouse was dead set to where a bikini and I never thought she would pull it off. Yes, she has pulled it off just fine without any issue. You can always start slow and do more over time. Also, if makeup and hair are issues we can certainly help around here to give you tips that can help with those skills. Hugs

I'll need decide sometime soon. In reality i don't really want to wear makeup. Hair i would like but even the hairdressers can never get it to stay for more than an hour before it flattens. Not sure why, but even boymode could never style it. I'll see how i feel nearer the time. Worst case I'll take something more reserved. Best case ill try one of those dresses but no makeup probably

I disagree.

Quote from: Charlotte Kitty on August 26, 2026, 03:16:05 PMOne of the first dresses I wore after my egg cracked. I really like it and wore with my black heels. Feels just too good wearing heels and a dress like this at work.  Its a very flattering fit, empire line I believe.

In all honesty that's just get out of bed, dry shampoo, ruffle then smooth with my hands. Zero makeup, just toner and moisturiser which is my minimal routine.  I think the toner really helps smooth everything out though.

😊

I should be so lucky to roll out of bed and look that good.

Seriously, Char. You've got this. Now, go find a nice dress and make everyone at the party jealous!

Got my doctor to look at the folliculitis all over my butt and legs. Been put on antibiotics to try and shift it as the hyperpigmemtation spots are now serious. Its going to take years to get rid of them assuming the antibiotics work. I'm so sick and tired of my body now! I just feel burnt out and exhausted.
