I've been around here a while and not really shared much of my life being a furry. I've been in  the furry fandom a couple of years now, which is also where I met my partner. We regularly attend a local furmeet in Birmingham UK and an annual convention here too.

We commission and collect art of our anthropomorphic animal characters which are known as our fursonas. Also for some We have fursuits which we wear to furry meets and conventions. My partner is purist and only has one, a bunny called Blueberry. I have several but only 3 suits. My main a raver kitty called Old Raveronomy, a bunny called Skittles and  wolf called Serana.

I actually adopted Skittles from the USA and they were my first fursuit. Serana being a female wolf helped me immeasurably to explore my gender. Raveronomy is really the male version of me and was designed to capture me at that time. He does such a good job of this that it's such an emotional experience suiting in him and feeling a deep connection to who I was. I really love him and never expected such a bond in this way.

A lot of people embody characteristics and confidence whilst fursuiting which allows them to experience life in a way they would  otherwise struggle. My partner is autistic and becomes a different person when suited. I think most furrys get a range of benefits, some very deep from suiting.

Anyways I hope that was of interest. I'll share a few pictures and furry art here too.

I feel like the intersection of dark and light. I have a dark soul residing in me but an intense draw to the powers of good. All around I feel the constant battle between darkness and light.

Adorable, Charlotte! And thanks for sharing about your partner. My daughter is on the spectrum. Hugs.

Sorry for the necropost but this is kind of awesome. The self expression in it is next level. I can see Serana on a beach at like 5am, in Ibiza. Once all the foam has dried off. ;D

Awww Serana is gorgeous. She really helped me transition. I experimented with my femininity being her.

If I dare I have a fluro mesh top, bikini bra and hotpants to wear with her at the furry convention. I'll have to judge my braveness and appropriateness first begore venturing out! Obviously nowhere near as skimpy as that outfit in her art. That I can't pull off without being removed from the convention!

Another cool thing about furry events. We all change and get ready in a room with men, women and other. There will literally be men chatting with women stood in only their underwear. No one cares. And all the bathrooms are changed to all gender in the hotel. Furries are just super accepting. If you're nice you'll be fully respected.

Well that's an eyeopener! This seems like it is an international thing. Do you ever go dressed? I can imagine that would turn a few heads on the bus ha ha!

What do you do when you are there? Is it like a nightclub or a convention?

I stay in a nearby hotel so a few minutes walk away. Last year I did walk over boy mode in my red puffball dress, hello kitty platforms and cat ears. Going through Resorts world shopping centre I heard this guy whisper "what the f***" to his girlfriend! I'll decide if I'm brave enough to wear Serana's outfit walking over. It really depends how confident I'm feeling to bat off any attention I get. I don't mind a laugh to be honest as long as people aren't nasty.

It's a convention so there are panels, events and the furry rave every night!

Sounds fun and interesting.

It's harder to love and create than hate and destroy. Love and creation takes more energy. Where hate and destruction can be done with a single word that can haunt you for a life time.

It kind of reminds me of the dogs in Trigger Happy TV. I love the idea of you just going about your normal day dressed as Serana, Getting the groceries in lol!
