Do you prefer in the ear or over the ears "ear/headphones"?

If over the ears, do you prefer wired or wireless?
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Depends, typically wireless in the ear, but if in a noisy environment like mowing or snow blowing over the ear to block more background sound.

I have in-the-ear hearing aids that I seldom wear. Like Rochelle, I want to block sound, not encourage it.

I wear over-the-ear wireless noise-cancelling headphones. It is a dual set, so two people can watch a movie together, each with their own volume control. (It also discourages talking during the movie. 🙂)

Most of the time, I have one pair in use and the other getting the batteries charged.

I grew up with these:

The in-ear stuff irritates my ears, honestly. I have some earbuds but I can only wear them for so long before I have to take them out. I think I prefer over the ear stuff.

Some newer telephones no longer have a plug to directly accept those, but there are adapters that allow a connection.

Do you do the whole "One ear thing", Charlotte? Like where you only have one ear covered?

Usually just one ear when I'm fading the next track in so I want to hear how it's coming out over the master. Then we play with eq bringing the bass in on the new track and out on the old. This way can hear it exactly as the room. When matching tracks, cueing etc over both ears. I can still hear the mix there but just not the same when doing creative stuff.

I had a nice pair of in-the-ear phones that I used when I was getting my face elecrolysedzapped.  About 200 hours worth.  However, since then, I started wearing hearing aids, so I can't use in-the-ear phones any more.  I now have some nice comfy over-the-ear headphones.  I wish they had a longer cord, but not enough to actually go wireless.

My hearing aids will do Bluetooth, so I suppose I could sync to them and listen that way.  But that won't disable the speaker, and part of the appeal of phones is the privacy and not disturbing others.

I love my noise canceling AirPods. I have them in all night at work. I can't go back to wired headphones. I have noticed that headphones are back in style when I'm at the gym.

Over the ear headphones. I could never get in the ear ones to stay in. And I had them come out inside my helmet once. After I managed to get the helmet off that was the end of trying to make them work.😡
I listen to a lot of YouTube and also for hearing my phone ring on the tractor so spend a lot of hours with them on. Comfortable ones are important. I've been using a pair of JBL on the ear ones, can't remember the number for about 5 years now. Been working out great.
