Wear whatever you want! Many of us were forced into wearing things which matched the expectations of society for decades. Once you break out of that box, there is no reason to allow others to force you back inside. There may be a few occasions when you should 'tone it down', like weddings, funerals, and job interviews, but don't allow others to control your fashion choices. Sure, eventually we all wear something that says 'train wreck in progress', but we eventually develop our own sense of fashion. It's OK to be unique. It's OK to have fun.

I wore an anklet for a few years when I first started expressing my femininity. I have a toe ring I wear sometimes. I'd say go for it, it's not too much. 😀
