What is your go to clothing?
What are you wearing or hiding just so you have that happy feeling when you have to go out in your expected gender?

I always wear panties, have my toes painted and use moisturizer and eye cream on days I don't work.

Honestly changes each day. Mostly a cute dress with leggings in these cold months. Also love a nice jumper with a cute skirt.

Under I love full panties, absolute favourites are flowery with lace trims. Nice wired bra in pink lace design.

I guess I like traditional femininity with a modern twist.

I make it a point to always wear clothing that was designed for women but men wear similar items too. During the colder season I most frequently wear slim jeans (I even have a pair with the zipper opening towards the left (nobody notices)), women's loafers (nobody notices that the heel is a bit slimmer than men's), turtlenecks or mock neck sweaters or quarter zip polos. I also always wear some pieces of jewelry, usually a necklace, bracelet or a ring. I also often wear a sports bra under my tops, but I make sure it is not adjustable o not show any hardware on my back when leaning forward. I also have a winter jacket that is not too noticeable. Often, if you stick to a men's color scheme, people don't notice that the item was designed for women.

Just the usual modest women's clothing, appropriate for the venue and formality expected.

Always in panties. My toenails are usually red. I try and wear womens jeans or shorts which are hard to spot, womens tee or maybe just a cami lounging around.

I wear earrings that scream woman except if I go somewhere that I expect to see someone I know. In that case it will be hoops of very sparkly studs.
Lately I have been wearing a thin braclet and thin necklace that are obviously feminine.

My wife wasn't happy when I started dressing again recently but she confided she was jealous of my panties.
Both in the style and the fact I have no hips so they look really small hanging up drying next to her strictly functional ones.

We have gotten past this so I'm currently dressing almost always partially feminine at home.

This still so new to me I don't yet dress female in public as I've not told everyone yet.
Except that I can't resist going out to my local coffee shop in my leggings and a long tee shirt, so I'm not far off.
The tee shirt might actually be a short dress I don't know but it looks great.

There are shirtdresses.  One example easy to picture is an extra long Polo style shirt.
There are nightshirts that can look like a dress.

If you are short, it obviously would require a lesser length to cover up more of you.

Chrissy, thanks for the explanation,
It was in the main section not the nightwear section, and it doesn't look like nightwear.
I'm going with shirtdress. I am tall and have a long body so it was perfect to go with the leggings.

Women's clothes can be called a lot of things.  Such as a tunic is a long top.  Some are pretty.
Plus the sizing is all over the place.  For bottoms, it is probably best to find your waist measurement and look at size charts.  Plus length and inseam sizes.  But then there are high waist, waist level, and low rise, especially so for jeans and shorts.

Nothing is simple it seems for our clothing sizes.  You have to try them on.

Defintiely a tunic top over here in the UK.

There is a lot of choice but that is part of the fun. You can be really creative with all the different styles and fits.

The problem is the sizing can be all over the place due to loose manufacturer tolerances and differing styles. I have some tops that are 16, some that are 18 and a couple that are 20 but they all fit! I'm usually a UK 20 skirt but in jeans i'm an 18. As I shop online there are often returns unfortunately.

I mostly dress casual. Jeans and sweater in cold months. Shorts and T shirt in summer. Business setting, I wear suits or business casual type clothes. I do sales in the engineering world, so I am expected to look neat and professional in front of customers.

Philippa,

One more thing...

Dresses and skirts can be uber feminine.  However you can look very feminine with pants or jeans.  It is how you put your outfit together, it needs to look good on you.  It is about how you carry yourself.  You need to blend in.  It takes time to gain confidence when out, it is hard at first for sure.  Be safe.

In fact, a private setting, a woman wearing just a man's business shirt (that is, wearing no bottom) with a few buttons undone can be quite the nice look!  It is about how she carries herself!  But I digress...

Chrissy is dead right. If you look at women in the street, most of them are not wearing skirts and dresses, though this changes in the summer. They are wearing jeans, trousers and leggings with a feminine top.

I guess it depends what your goal is. If you are always dressing to feel sexy then dresses and skirts all the way but if your goal is to blend in, that means dressing down in more casual clothes more often than not.

I must say my rationale is almost never to blend in unless I'm just feeling tired or depressed. A large part of my transition is accessing a whole new range of clothes that couldn't pull off before! I'm planning to enjoy every minute of exploring fashion femininity and different styles. It's like a whole new life.

I get most people want to blend in, but even as a guy I never wanted to be like everyone else. I don't feel I want to push the boundaries as much now as a women, but I love the silhouettes and patterns I get to enjoy now even in more muted colours. I like to look either cute, sleek or alternative. Next things I'm playing with is Kawaii/Lolita style. Hype up the cute to the max level. But then I am a furry...not like most people!

There is always a place for the trend setting fasionistas, whether you are male or female. As I said, if your goal is not to blend in and not be noticed (my preference) then express yourself! have fun with it! I love it when I see outlandish colourful fashion on display but I'm too shy and reserved to try it myself. Well in public at least.

I do the same when I go on vacation and away from home (I am still in the closet in my day to day life and only wife knows).
Most times when on vacation I am dressed in 100% women's clothing from head to toe but it's not overtly feminine that it would attract attention if I'm am still presenting in male mode. The only overtly feminine item would be nude colour pantyhose I suppose but even that's hard to spot unless the person has eagle eyes.

I wish I could wear what I want on a daily basis and just express myself. Sigh.

Thank you all for your advice, I still have a lot to learn.
I'm not sure if I want to blend in or stand out but I do want to just be me and not worry about it.
Now that I feel free to do so I want to try every piece of female clothing there is to try but also I don't want it to look like a random mess of mixed items.
I am still very wary of going out in my new clothes but for some reason I cannot stop myself going out in my leggings. They seem like a good balance between being female but not too obvious.
Love my new leggings, where have they been all my life.

Leggings are wonderful as they are so comfy. But you can easily step things up by getting ones with various patterns. I love floral as very feminine and sweet. In addition leggings go under shorts or dresses if it's cold or you can rock short dresses yet still look very refined with them under. It's a look I love for work.

I use the simple method to get my combos - copy the store display photo or just other people's outfits on the internet. Don't have to be exact, just grab similar items that have a similar fit and shape. Very feminine fashion is highly shape orientated. To copy a style you mostly look at shaping. Baggy or tight? Does it taper in above the waist etc. Getting used to your waistline being your belly button can help make nice 1/3 look fits that shout feminine. Belts here or just above can turn anything super feminine and accentuate your assets!

There is so much more I don't know yet but again just copy...in your way! Buying second hand means you can just reject if the combo is off. I buy and just donate to charity if it doesn't work.  That feels constructive at least.

I really love clothes so it's a big thing for me. But as others say most women it's jeans / leggings etc. But there are some of us about out there that like dresses, skirts and generally a stepped up feminine look. It feels really nice to put that bit of effort in and be one of the nicest dressed in the room. My female work colleagues say they are inspired to step up their looks after seeing me come in as I do. I can't say how great that feels.

Charlotte you make a good point that my waist has moved to my belly button and you are right it does take a bit of adjusting to when you are used to it being lower, but I love that it has moved there.
I always hated that high waist-ed underwear doesn't really exist in the mens world, not that I would ever wear anyway. Now I can get high waist underwear that I really like.
I have already seen some dresses that extend from the waist that I really want to try but I need to take my time.
I am wary about belts at the moment, partly because I haven't thought about it yet but also because I am afraid of it slipping down to my old waist.
