Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Decades ago, I spent weekends shark fishing off the pier at Avila Beach, CA.
On Saturday mornings, the shrimp boats would come in to offload. We could buy large prawns for $1 per pound. We would fill coolers full.

I don't think the price was lower at restaurants, but cutting out the middleman and buying fresh off the boat certainly was.

Yes, especially if you know someone who fishes, and there will be many.

Fish is eye wateringly expensive in the UK, even if I go to the fish market where they land the catch. We're on an island, how on earth can it be so expensive!

Its spendy enough that I rarely buy it. I still live near my hometown of Fleetwood, once a major fishing port and it's no longer a cheap source of food.

Back before she transitioned, my wife was working for a construction aggregates company, think sand, gravel, cement. 31 of them went to France on a company sponsored event. At the restaurant, she was chosen to talk to the waiter since she was the only French speaker.

When the menus arrived they were, of course, in French and full of French cuisine. One of the guys figured out that they had ham, eggs, and chips. When the waiter came back she had to order 30 ham, eggs, and chips...and one fish galette for her. According to her the waiter said:

"But...you live on an island.."

She apologised. 🤣

Then the are fishnet stockings.  I wonder if you took them off if you could use them to fish!

Nah!  Something is fishy about that idea.

I may take up fishing! I think that being in the river fishing would be sorta cool.

Don't know  where you are Chrissy but many fresh water fish are inedible apart from trout salmon eels and pike.
