With you there. I think that's even a north/south gap in the UK, though. Show someone from London black pudding... or worse, tell them its origins, and they will look at you like you just took a butcher's knife to their firstborn... before offering you some eels, and mashed potato, in something that looks like it is a special effect in an adult movie.
