This may be a self evident question but as someone stating to figure out who I am i wish to ask.
Besides cultural norms what makes womans clothes and men's clothes?

If underwear is comfortable and holds your parts together why is considered odd a wear panties?

If I like a pair of shoes why can't I wear them? I really like shoes.

Why is it odd that a "male" to wear toe rings and anklets? I do both and sometimes get weird looks.

We should be able to wear want we want within reason, as long as it suitable for the venue and for the formality level and it is clean. 

As a general rule women can wear men's and women's clothes, although some clothes may appear odd looking or not fit well on many a woman. 

There are societal standards for clothing styles and taboos.  Also for jewelry, hair, makeup, even emotions and there are other customs.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Because, when you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.
Men typically have big ugly feet and it's best not to draw attention to them.  Typically, and there are exceptions.  So, as always, do what you're comfortable with.
