Quote from: Dances With Trees on Yesterday at 09:02:38 PMThanks Danielle and Sarah for the clarification. And to Charlotte and Lori for sharing my confusion. Wendy is firmly ensconced in my lexicon. I don't dare mention my ignorance of wellies but assume they're appropriate for crossing a bog. Photos when you get there, Sarah! Please.

They are things that farmers wear, almost exclusively where I live. They are weatherproof things that come halfway up your calves. More sometimes depending how short you are. They were popularised by the Duke of Wellington, hence the name. A bloke called Arthur Wellesley.

Thank you Lauren, Saved me the bother. They look pretty close to mine actually. Are they called gumboots in the good old US of A?

Woke up with excrutiating sciatica this morning😪 Sort of put paid to my plans for the day. Going to have to spend the early morning rolling around on the floor doing stupid exercises again. Feeling like it will clear up later though. I might still get up to some mischief today.

I had to google that. It sounds horrible, Sarah. I am so sorry you have to deal with that. I really hope it clears up for you and that you can get back to... haha, mischief. Have you dealt with it for long, honey? It really doesn't sound pleasant at all.

That's terrible news you've woken up in pain. Why on earth does that have to happen when you get a day off. I hope you can get it under control and make something nice of your day.

Sending you healing and hugs x

It's been there since September last year unfortunately, though it's not always this painful. It sort of has flareups every so often. It's just picked the bank holiday to do one. It normally eases off during the day though. It's a shame because I'm more of a lark than an owl so it feels like I'm wasting my day. Minor problem in the grand scheme of things though.

What's everyone else up to this Easter weekend?

Is there anything you can do for it? Medication or... I mean the weird form of Human Origami known as Yoga seems to help with some stuff. Tie yourself in knots to untie knots. It's apparently a thing!

This weekend I will be indulging in the age-old practice of Bugger All. I can't stand chocolate so the Easter Bunny knows to stay away. I might get out and about if the weather is okay, just to get some fresh air. Other than that... nope. No plans whatsoever.

There's no cure really and yes Yoga is part of the treatment. Well specific poses of it anyway. I'm on painkillers which work for the most part but they can't deal with the flareups.

I actually quite like Yoga, I've dabbled with it off and on for quite a few years. I'm more bendy than my shape would suggest ha ha! It's meditative when I'm feeling overwhelmed. My house is so small though I can barely fit a mat in and my hands hit the chandelliers in some poses, kind of breaks the concentration!

If I ever reach full transition I would love to go to a proper yoga class. ain't no hiding what I've currently got in yoga pants though! Don't have the same urge to do it in boy mode.

On a cheerier note it's the easter weekend so it's time for the traditional Easter message.

Happy Easter Weekend, Sarah.

I'll be fishing on Saturday. Not quite sure about Sunday. It's just my wife and I, so not much fuss here.

So sorry to hear about your discomfort. I hope it feels better soon.

New wig day today.

What do you think? It's supposed to be the exact same style and colour as the old one but it's definitely different. More of a centre parting.

Didn't mean for my mug to be quite as big as that ha ha! Sorry if I scared anyone!
