Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Aw thanks Jasmine! Yes Billy Connolly has been a favourite of mine since the 80's!

Yeah, of course you're doing it correctly, welcome to my little space on Susans!

In terms of accepting I don't yet know as I'm still in the closet but the North East (and Newcastle in particular) is famous for being one of the most friendliest areas in Englad so I hope I will be accepted when I finally do take the plunge. There aren't many people TO accept me really, just my mum (already knows) and my dad, and one female friend. I think I might have it easy compared to some folks.

I've only been to London once when I was a kid. I've kind of avoided the place to be honest (It's not really representative of the rest of the UK) though I am feeling the urge to go on a museums and galleries whistlestop tour before long. I have never been to the British Museum before and I feel I should go before they make us send all the stuff back that we've nicked during our period of empire ha ha!

We have them but I think I've only seen one once. Ours are tiny and harmless though. I've actually seen Adders more. Adders are supposed to very rare but they are quite common in Northumberland and Scotland because it's quite remote. I've probably seen them 4 times or so while out hiking. The adder can give a nasty bite and it's natural habitat is the low heather so you can't often see them but put your foot in the wrong place and it might have a go. It is venomous but it won't kill you. They do kill dogs that get bit though. I do remember a story not so long ago about an Aussie tourist who came over and got bit and was hospitalised. The irony of that was not lost on me!

Sarah I can turn my hand to most things, I wired the  extension at my folks old house and got it signed off no problem.

Seems a lot of us here are pretty handy really as I renovated my home to including fitting a new kitchen, extending my bathroom and fitting a shower. Electrical stuff I do within reason, though will need to remove my self fitted solar PV array and battery storage when I move due to the nanny state saying I'm not qualified, despite spending half my time at work fixing mess ups by electricians and explaining to them electrical theory which is met with blank stares. I can lose most electricians in 30 seconds by explaining not just what the electrical code is, but why its that way!

You might be able to find an electrician to certify it for you Charlotte. You can then apply for a Regularisation at Building Control to get retrospective approval and avoid having to remove it.
