Yeah the country is split in two weather wise at the moment. We're getting air from scandinavia and the arctic up here. It's keeping things cooler at the moment. To be honest I prefer the temperature, it's the complete low cloud cover I don't like, it's oppressive. Supposed to be cold and sunny with the odd shower going into the week though, that's more like it for me.

I don't know where people get this idea us Brits talk about the weather all the time ha ha!

OK, opinion please.

a) Is this morally wrong to use dead animals as art?

b) Is my cat likely to want to eat this?

I've been to Fannies Emporium (a local antiques centre) and I really, really wanted to buy it! It's just soooo cute!

I think it's interesting but I don't have a great opinion on this. Your cat will probably push it to the floor and think it a toy.

I don't see a problem. Personal preference really. It is rather comedic for sure. As for kitty...you know they're totally unpredictable, but i don't think mine would care. Would be too dumb to work out what it was lol.

I would not buy it or have it at my place.

But you have your own place!
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Totally my kind of thing. But then I am not a cat person. I find the idea of Jerry being armed and slightly psychopathic kind of funny. Would have made the cartoons very different.

You could make an exhibit called "Sarah's Mouse of Horrors". I would come visit.

I knew you would appreciate it Lauren! You're just a bit twisted, like me! There are loads of them.

I like the seller name "curiosities killed the cat"

There was a movie with Steve Carrell. His character made things like that. I cant find the movie now.

Nothing much to report today. The temperature has dropped to 10C today and we have an icy north wind coming in off the sea which makes it feel like 6 or 7C. I think we were one of the coldest places in England today.

Had another course lecture this afternoon which was a bit soul destroying!

I have just managed to get pork scratchings down my cleavage and into my bra! The hazzards of womanhood ha ha!

Think I'm going to go on a mini adventure tomorrow to take some pics of interesting stuff.

Hope tomorrow is a bit better then. At least you'll have no lecture.

Sarah's World Tour of Northumberland Part...??????
Sarah's continuing adventures in Northumberland!

Another cracking day in paradise! Honestly, you guys are going to think it's always blue skies and sunshine in the uk at this rate!

I had a little tootle up the coast to see another great Northumberland Castle and my personal favourite, the majestic ruin of Dunstanburgh Castle. Build in 1313 it's one of the more recent castles. It was hugely expanded in the 1380's by John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster and was fought over and changed hands several times during the War of the Roses and it never recovered from those seiges. It occupies a large prominant site perched on top of a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea and is one of the most splendid ruins in England in my humble opinion.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks as always Lori!

This one is my favourite one as there are no roads to get to it. You have to walk 2 miles or so along the coastline to get to it. No other buildings there either bar the odd WW2 Pillbox. Actually the castle was re-occupied during WW2 as an observation post and was also kitted out with machine gun posts for keeping the nazi's at bay! I kind of love that we would have resorted to manning our castles again if there had been an invasion!
