I mean it can but it can also just mean, as in this case, that you have a wicked sense of humour (like most Brits to be fair)

I can see why english is hard to understand for non speakers as context matters hugely. So many words in the UK have multiple meanings depending on the context. Is is not the same in the US?

There is a word used by Geordies (People from my area) that perfectly illustrates this, The word "Canny" can mean:

"She's a canny lass": She is a lovely/nice girl.
"These crisps are canny, like": These crisps are quite good.
"Gan canny": Go carefully / take care.
"Canny good": Very good.
"Canny job": You did a good job there.
"He's a canny man".Careful/Clever: Shrewd, knowing, cunning ("He's canny to your tricks").
It also sometimes acts as an intensifier (e.g., "I've been working canny hard")

Sometimes baffling to outsiders.

Well I'm glad my working day is over today. I have been covering for 3 other people today, to say today has been manic would be an understatement! Think I'm going to have a soak in the bath and unwind ready for the weekend, I might even use conditioner @KathyLauren lol!

Raining again here, hope it fairs up for the weekend.

36c? urgh too hot for me I'm afraid, no thanks. It's not cold here, just raining (in Britain? Who would have thought it ha ha!). It might actually have stopped actually, but I can't be bothered to go out anywhere, batteries low. But I've got 5 days off barring a 2 hour lecture on Monday!

We complain its cold but us Brits are made for cooler climates, mid 20s is as much as I can stand. Saying that any thing below 10c is a bit to cold for me!

I'd like it to be 16C all year to be honest. Anything over 19 is too much and i sweat constantly!

We are just getting in to our rainy season. It will get in to the high 20's to low 30's*c rain hard for a couple hours then the temperature will jump back up with an oppressive humidity. We got near freezing in late December early January it lasted a couple weeks then 15 to 20*c the rest of the winter.
If you ever plan to visit Disney world do it in December or January. The weather is great. The summer would melt my English friends.

Well I didn't manage to get out again today, awful weather. Going to have to go somewhere tomorrow, even if it's raining. Need to get out of the four walls, going stir crazy.

Oh its rough when it just rains all the time. I'm starting to even think some of my improved mood is down to it being sunny more days and less rain. I was broken throughout that period of constant rain.

1999 we met and married :icon_archery:
Fall 2018 The woman hiding behind my husband's facade is coming out full time! :icon_female:
She began MTF HRT but had adverse reactions, so gave up on transitioning medically.
Summer 2022 I went through gender confirmation surgery as a result of cancer.
2024 my wife submitted letters approving of medically transitioning, she's legally changing her name and gender on all of her and our documents and accounts.
January 2025!  SURGERY!
March 2026  Moved from U.S. to Uruguay.

Yeah we have the same saying pretty much. No such thing as bad weather just bad clothing. I don't really mind the rain to be honest it's just that it's been continuously oppresively grey and overcast with it.

You could go to a clothing optional resort.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
