Quote from: Stottie Girl on May 06, 2026, 11:49:26 AMI woke up in a very good mood today with a smile on my face, even going to work and having to cover for two other people as well as my own job didn't lower my mood. The sun is shining too which helps.

Checked my email this afternoon and my buyers solicitor has agreed the contracts for my house sale so I'm signing the contracts at my end tonight. It's not legally binding yet but it's pretty darn close. Still waiting on the sellers of the house I'm moving to but that is near the finish line too. I could be gone in a few weeks hopefully.

Having just been through that process myself, I know how that feels.  That is worth smiling about.

Still not there yet but I'm starting to believe!

When I get the keys to the wreck of the new place I might be wondering what the hell I've done but it's a blank canvas, a fresh start. I'm getting excited!

I'd offer my truck but getting it there would take to long. I don't think it would fit on your streets

When I was younger me and my housemate moved a few blocks away using a shopping trolley. Even put mattress and bed on it lol. Thats how classy we were living in one of Leeds roughest estates at the time!

I think I might strugle with just a shopping trolley ha ha! Life was so much easier back then, none of the baggage we have today.

When we moved from my parents place to our own house we put a box of stuff in the attic, it was still there 30 years later!

Always put things away for a later that never comes. I need to empty some junk my ex left in the loft.

Sarah might find interesting things in her new loft!

The house has been empty that long I hope I don't find the previous owner up there! I will be content with a stash of gold bullion though!

When I was in high school, I found a box of foreign coins stashed under some stairs in the basement. Nothing really old, 1950s, I think. But it was cool seeing coins from all over the world.
