Sorry, I haven't been on here much recently as I've been going through some medical and mental "stuff".

Well, the new house is still plodding along. It's taking up nearly all my free time at the moment, I seem to be uncovering problem after problem and things are getting worryingly expensive. I am shattered most days due to the physical work I'm putting in.

Giving up my freedom to be myself is proving to be incredibly difficult. I hope I have not made a big mistake. I will still be 3-5 weeks away from moving in proper IF I can last that long. Depression has been rearing it's head for me and I just didn't feel right coming on here and being miserable but Lauren persuaded me that I should at least give an update.

Sarah, those times are exactly when you should come on here!  No one is "up" all the time, and we don't expect it.  Places like this exist specifically for the times when the going gets tough.  Lean on us: that's what we come here for.  It's not just about looking at your awesome travel pictures.

I'll try to get on here a bit more though. I like to try and be Miss positive when I come here as so many people are going through much tougher times than I am but I just was not feeling it. I am feeling a bit better today though.

If you feel that way, just pop in and update us about how things are going at your new place. New places are always a project to fix or adjust to make it your own. Maybe let us in on some of the projects you are working on. Even if they aren't going as planned, well, that's life. But it's still okay to share what you are trying to do and what went wrong or right.

We don't even need details. This is the perfect place to vent or brag because you are among family here.

Sarah, sorry I am late to the discussion but everyone is absolutely right!  This is the place to unload and know that everyone is on your side.  I have apologized countless times for dumping here and have gotten the same response that you did.  I have been told that I over-think things. Add gender dysphoria and you can really fry your brain.

I agree with Lauren, this site is filled with an amazing amount of good people who will listen, understand and help where we can.  I even agree with Davina, if we all lived closer to you, we would set up tents and help help you out!
(That would be a helluva party too!)
