My work colleague highly recommend a service where you get a 1hr30 one to one lesson at a makeup counter that shares my name, located in a high end store. It costs but the full cost is redeemable against product so i could learn and get what i need all at once.

I like the sound of it as I enjoy these kinda sessions, getting some fuss and attention. Has anyone done similar?

I feel like the intersection of dark and light. I have a dark soul residing in me but an intense draw to the powers of good. All around I feel the constant battle between darkness and light.

Not that extensive, but it sounds like a terrific deal.  I suggest trying it if your budget can handle it!  Some of those department stores also offer a one on one personal clothing coordinator.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Being able to appropriately apply makeup on yourself is a very good skill to have.

It takes practice.

It's harder to love and create than hate and destroy. Love and creation takes more energy. Where hate and destruction can be done with a single word that can haunt you for a life time.

I have not, but several members have said they went to a makeup store and had a session like the one you described.

They will be happy to help because you become a customer buying their products. They also want you to be happy with the results so that you will come back, buy more, and refer your friends.

I think it's a great idea.

Yes, twice. I was too afraid to go in person, so first met with someone online who specialized in MTF trans makeup. It definitely helped but not as much as I had hoped. She mostly did her own makeup to show me how and the camera wasn't adequate for her to help me do my own.

The second time I called a mobile makeup service and she came to me. It was good to feel it going in and see what products and methods she used, but I'm certain I was her first makeup experience of this kind.

I found in my secret world at the time that AI + YouTube worked best. I could practice at home and not feel lost. YouTube has lots of (too many) methods and with AI I could ask all my questions and choose a method. I have shared hundreds of in-process makeup photos with AI. It seemed accurate but what helped the most was it was affirming.

If I were to seek in-person again, I would have an AFAB friend help me.
