I got a hug from a family friend of my mom's and she has known me since I came out in 1999 as transgender. A great  supporter and proud mom of a pre op MTF transsexual daughter, Ashley I am great friends with. I learned a lot from her and she went through it hard, Ashley's older brother took his life in 1997 having a hard time not wanting to come out as gay. She is glad Ashley did come out and it was at the same time I did. It was at a mother/daughter thing this morning. She is glad Ashley and I are living great lives as our true selves. I see her as a second mom in my life whom has welcomed me into her life. Says she does not miss the unhappy son she once had and is glad to have a daughter much happier in her life.

That's awesome to have such wonderful support and friendship around you. I wish I was so lucky.

Nikki, thank you for that story.

That will be more than enough to float through the day

First time Ashley and I met, it was relief. Said she knew that she was transgender at age 10 hiding it

Such a beautiful moment, Nikki! I knew I was 'different' by the age of 10 but had no idea what was 'wrong' with me.
