U.K. Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who was responsible for ending the prescription of puberty blockers to minors nationwide in the country, has resigned from his position, per a letter obtained by the BBC.

Streeting opened his resignation letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer by touting his various achievements in the role, such as an overall reduction in wait times and the number of patients on waiting lists.

"The National Health Service is the embodiment of all that is best about Britain and our values. Thanks to our Labour government, it is on the road to recovery: lots done, but so much more to do," Streeting wrote. He continued, "These are all good reasons for me to remain in post, but as you know from our conversation earlier this week, having lost confidence in your leadership, I have concluded that it would be dishonourable and unprincipled to do so."

Streeting specifically referenced last week's U.K. election results, which he called "unprecedented," as a catalyst for his resignation. In the election, the Labour Party lost seats across England, while the right-wing populist party Reform UK earned a foothold in many parts of the U.K., resulting in widespread loss of faith in Starmer and calls for the PM to resign.

Yeah, he's resigned because he's planning to mount a campaign to become the next PM once Starmer goes. It's all rather calculated. UK politics is, at times, akin to the Roman Senate. Where everyone is brandishing a dagger and thinking five moves ahead.

Yep, plotting and scheming is rife at the moment. I have to say I don't think he is human though. Definitely either a robot or one of the lizzard people! Not a friend of the trans community that one.
