Hello I have been blindsided in these later years of my life by the fact that my husband of nearly 30 years is transgender
I am going through a wide range of emotions I have cried and screamed and begged
I am afraid ,  I am lost , and just about at my wits end
I would love to hear from sime other significant others who maybe dealing with these things as well .
I love my husband and would really appreciate and help i could get to try to navigate this upheaval in what I thought was my life  as well as helping others if I could .
I thank you in advance for any help and advice that may help me

Dear Blindsided,

I want to start by saying how glad I am that you are here. It took real courage to make that first post and I am so glad that you did.

My name is Amy and I am a significant other.  I can certainly relate to how you are feeling right now.  When I arrived here back in September of 2025, I felt much of the same things you are feeling now.  I felt like the rug had been pulled out from under me.  Although I am many months into this journey, I am still figuring things out as I go.  I would love to be of any help to you that I can be.  You are not alone in this.  There are several others on here that have been where you are now.  I have found this to be such a loving, supportive community.  I have received such words of wisdom to help me on this journey.  I know you will too.

I really look forward to connecting with you more on here and getting to know you better.  Please come back often.  I am here for whatever you need and to help you in any way that I can.

With love,
Amy
