Do you enjoy Wiener Snitzel?  It is made with veal.  I enjoyed it in Austria and in Germany.

You can also get snitzels made with other meat, such as chicken.

My favorite dish while in Germany. I love it.

Wiener Schnitzel mit kartoffelsalat. And a Weizenbier.

And sauerkraut.

My wife has German heritage so we have it once a week.

Veal is the best, you just need to hammer it thin before crumming the meat

I remember the very thin breaded meat that ended up being as wide as a large plate.

I wonder if it would taste as good if the meat was thicker.

The ones I had were not thin. Maybe the same thickness as a pork chop. I had a Jaeger schnitzel, which was thinner. Smothered in brown gravy and mushrooms. Good, but not my favorite.

I never heard of that sandwich.  Is it available in the USA?  Two pieces of chicken between a bun?

Yup! Bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce between two chicken patties. It's only available occasionally, which is probably better for everyone. 😂

Sounds as appealing (not!) as lettuce as the outer layers.  With no bread, neither example is a sandwich by definition.

I would eat that chicken meal with a knife and a fork, served on a plate.

Although I have never eaten bacon and chicken together that I know of.
Or for that matter, cheese with bacon or chicken, with the exception of bacon bits with cheese on a baked potato.

I must be an old fashioned eater.

They don't give you a knife and fork with it, Chrissy. Just napkins. 🤣

I would rather have a good Wiener Snitzel than a hot dog.

Fries with that sounds good too!

No Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chrissy? That's chicken and cheese. With Canadian Bacon (ham).
Well, sort of.
🤣

I do not think so.  I like cheese, bacon, chicken but never had at least a "slice" of cheese with bacon or chicken.

The next time you eat out at a restaurant, see if they have Chicken Cordon Bleu on the menu. You can also sometimes find them in the frozen foods and bake them yourself. You have got to try it at least once.
