I remember when I decided to write Erica Porcupine's backstory. She's the character in my avatar. It was such a trip because I had only "known" this character as Erica. Once I started her backstory, I was maybe halfway through the first story in the trilogy. Then, I noticed something interesting. I kept calling her Erica when her birth name was Eric.

I spoke with my friend about it, and he started to laugh. He knew exactly what I was thinking. This was like seeing this from the eyes of a parent in a very abstract way.

Righteous Pigs were a killer band. But, jeez, some of these lyrics are beyond dumb. I've known it all along, sure. But listening to a few of these songs, it sounds like some sexually frustrated loser. Which is even more so since they did write about personal/social subjects. But those other songs were better, even if the lyrics were nowhere near being complicated. I just find that line of writing in Metal to be utterly ridiculous. But the music does save it. Still..........
