I did it!

I did it!

First things first. Thank you to everyone here and particularly Lori, whose extensive knowledge, along with the discourse from everyone, helped me put together intelligent questions for the doc. I've been combing the topics and posts for info and it is really helpful. Thank you all.

So, I had my appointment with Herr Professor Doktor Wallaschofski yesterday in Erfurt.

I got my hormones.

I was armed with info but this is how it turned out.I am on 'Lenzetto' 1,53 mg/Sprühstoff (transdermal spray) Estradiol-Hemihydrat. I wanted injections, but it seems that isn't an option in Germany. So, I have the spray.

It is also the post-menopausal dosage. I wanted to be more aggresive, as Lori has argued, but he said that he wanted to see how my body handled it first. So my next appointment is in eight weeks.

Now, the good news is that when I asked about the bio-Prog that seems like everyone has to beg for, he said that was his standard treatment, but, again, in eight weeks. He said once a day, taken at night. I came back (typed up on my question list) with Lori's comment on the half-life and how many mistake the wrong half-life and that is could be taken 3x a day.

Lori, he said that you are correct ... but it depends on the brand. What he will give me is nightly.

So, I got back to Weimar, picked up my script and walked into the city center to celebrate at my favorite punk café/pub.

IMG_5262.jpg

I met a girlfriend there and we celebrated from late afternoon into the early morning (ugh, my head) and I gave myself my first spray with her at the bar (she helped me figure out the device, which, I don't know why, looks like a woman's sex toy - or maybe our minds were just dirty at the moment).

I also met a couple of her friends who I didn't know, both working in the literary business and business partners. So, although still in boy mode, but more and more feminine, I am completely oout of the closet and I started to actually get kinda interested in her - it may have been mutual, she's my age. But he was treating her like doo-doo, typical dismissing her opinions and views, etc. - misogynistic. And, I can't remember the last time this happened, HE made a pass at me. Pretty strange for a self-professed "asexual." I guess that goes out the window when they get enough beers in them.

But hopefully, I can have coffee with Andrea sometime, she's aware that I am a transfrau and lesbian, helped me celebrate it, so ... maybe. Yesterday was simply a fantastic day.

And thank you everyone for helping me prepare by just being here and discussing things. It's invaluable for an information source.

Next up - the hair salon! My girlfriends are telling me that I could wear something like this, a short French Shag, and my face is still young enough to dye my hair to my original dark brown. I hope the curtian bangs would camoflage the male hairline/temples. And it looks versitile enough to switch between girl and boy modes as needed or desired. What do you girls think?

I like that hairstyle. That can work nicely.

A little mousse for the femme version, more flat for the masc version.

Your doctor is right to wait on the Progesterone. Your body will need to adjust to the new hormone levels. If you start adding a bunch of stuff and you have issues, you can't tell which one caused it. Usually, they want you to start P a year after starting E.

But one dose at night eight weeks out will work. The E starts increasing the number of P receptors in the breast tissue. Then, when you start adding the P, they are "primed" and ready to go.

If all goes well, then you slowly increase the dosage for the same reasons: watch how your body reacts/adjusts to the new normal, then adjust again as needed.

Congrats on a great start! Medically and socially.

Thanks, girls.

I'm just in seventh heaven – also in bed. It seems last night's cold air of early Autumn hit me with a cold this afternoon. A double whammy but nothing can bring the mood down, so make myself comfy with hot tea and a cuddle blanket.

@Lori, I'll see about getting it cut next week as well as a cosmetic appointment at Douglas to figure out skin type and tone. I was thinking the same thing about mousse and flat. Flat kinda reminds me of those 90s bands, like Oasis, who were sporting retro-Mod-like cuts. Then do something like above when I go full femme.

I asked the Prof. when I should start seeing the effects, given my 60 years of testoterone influence: he doesn't seem to agree that longetivity of T means delayed and/or modest E results like I've been reading about, so, hmmmm, that's good news for me. He said first, I will feel the effects of the heart pretty soon. Then he gave the 3 month timeline to notice the beginning of physical changes. So, that stoked me. I was expecting at least 6 months to even notice a perky nipple or two.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but I also used a public women's restroom for the first time this week ... so many euphoric firsts! Wow, I have to say, the graffiti in the girl's stall of a German punk café/pub is pretty enlightening, to say the least!

Again thank you all, this site is so very informative, the wealth of knowledge, the support ... it is a very important site.

Oh, Ashley, thank you,

Yea, a bit of my self-deprecating humour playing off of unrealistic expectations and impatience, lol, nevermind me.

Oh, and I wanted to say, you are absolutely gorgeous! I saw your picture in the military thread where you were cleaning up Lori Dee's ordinance and she had fun shooting her tank, lol. Wow, girl, that was one helluva transition! I mean it. One picture typical male soldier and the next 100% woman - two completely different people from the outside.

I sigh and my heart goes pitter patter 'cause I hope my transition goes similarly.

Well, as you said: patience. We'll see!

Oh, yea, @Lori Dee - I grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. Washington high school. From 8 to 15, then again 17-18 until I joined the Army in '84. At 16 I was in Savannah, GA as my mom started art school.

Oh, my cousin is such a dear, she just passed her feminine wisdom off to me and I thought I would share:

QuoteDearest Robyn.

A FB memory for your girlie files. And I hope you bought yourself some pretty, smart and easy to mix/match clothes. And cozy pajamas. My go-to makeup brands are Lancôme and Clinique, but every woman must find her signature. And Buxom has a great lip plumper. My go-to perfume is Cuir Béluga by Guerlain.

What else? I think it's possible to be both feminine and erudite. This is a fine combo. I hate women who feel they have to be masculine to be smart. In the winter I have fleecy pajamas, and in the summer usually just a t-shirt, if that. BB cream (find your complexion type) gives a photo finish.

And embrace baths. Showers are aggressive. You can't possibly do everything in a relaxing way in a shower. And buy yourself flowers. Others can't be counted on for this. What other words of feminine wisdom do I have?

Confidence is the sexiest asset. I think embracing femininity involves devoting time to yourself. Facials, baths, reading, journaling. music, writing. With Zero guilt. Herbert won't travel with me. We should go somewhere together with you fully Robyn. And cultivate a posse of girlfriends. Essential.

Also: please drop the "trans" in your mind. It creates a distance between you and who you are as a woman. If you are a woman, you don't need to explain yourself. Not unless it comes up in an intimate situation. I have watched so many videos of "trans" women who agonize over this. I can honestly say that I have never - not once - thought: as a cis woman, what are my choices today? Just be yourself. And please watch Legally Blonde ASAP. It is a guilty pleasure.

Am using Lenzetto for a few years now. 68, transitioned a few weeks before my 34th birthday, op at 37.
Had a similar shag style after growing out a DA while self medicating and doing electrolysis in 1990.
Good luck with your transition, looks to be going great.

Thank you so much, Big Kim, that means a lot to me.

Thanks for the sweet words Robyn!... I think attitude goes a way in transition as well as Every other aspect of life... I viewed the changes I wanted as fully within my grasp and pursued them. Go make your life everything you want it to be girl!!! Amazing things patiently awaiting! 🌻

Thank you, Courtney, and your own story is inspiring as well. I came across one of your post where you said that you started in your mid-50s and still got nice sized breasts... so, there's hope after all. Thanks. We'll just have to wait and see what the booby-fairy brings me 😊.

You're welcome. Yes, the only thing we know for sure is that there's no way to know how much development we'll get. I get sad when I read about others who had high hopes but don't get much development. I wish there was a secret or trick I could share but it's just luck of the draw.

One thing I will say is that if you're lean like me, do make sure to keep the intake of calories happening. Puberty requires it!

Quote from: Courtney G on Yesterday at 11:37:50 AMI get sad when I read about others who had high hopes but don't get much development.

I am actually attracted to small breasts, so I wouldn't mind having small breasts myself. I want just enough to clock as a woman and perhaps enough to play with some cleavage with a dress or blouse; just enough shape to veil and give off some jouissance.

Like the models the controversial Greek photographer Nelly used in 1927/28 at the Parthenon, the first, the Hungarian dancer Nikolska, I have hanging in my bedroom. I love her:

The last being Mona Paizo, but similar physique. Beautiful and small breasts. I wouldn't mind that

I mean, I'm not 18 anymore, I won't get to those figures at all and I still have a couple of kilo's to lose on this keto diet: I'm 164cm and 68kg. A little roll above the waistline does not bother me, I always found that cute and sexy on women. But the slight protrusion under the sternum, the 'beer-belly' no one else notices but screams masculine to me, is what needs to go. So pilates and 8k runs at least 4x a week, 150g protein and 84g fat max per day, and hopefully with another four weeks of that I can switch to Mediterranean diet and holiday food in December and pack the calories where they need to go - I just realized that the 3 month mark for me will be Christmas! I wonder what Weihnachtsmann will bring me ... ?
