I'm sure there must be someone from the GTA around here. I'm located in the K/W area and i'm looking for a clinic to receive HRT. From my time spent searching i've really only come up with one clinic on sherbourne in toronto. Is there perhaps a list of clinics that offer HRT somewhere? I'll drive to toronto if i can't find somewhere closer but i thought i'd ask.

I can't figure out what K/W area means...but I live in Thornhill and spend much of my time in Toronto. My clinic is the 410 just up the street from the Sherbourne. As far as I know almost any Dr. can prescribe HRT but they will almost always want a letter of support like from a councilor or therapist. Even if you have to travel the good thing is at least in my case I only have to go once every 2 months. It can be hard to get in to either one cuz they can be busy, I knew someone who went to the 410 and referenced them. Otherwise I would not have been able to get in, the Sherbourne was not over booked when I went but I'm told they are now. Hope this helps

Kitchener/Waterloo I'm a ways west from you, I used to live in TO around the 401 and Martin Grove. Then i was in Mississauga then I moved out here for school and just kinda got stuck with a software job, now I can't leave.. well at least not yet.

I'll have a letter within the next week I've just gotta find somewhere to have them prescribed to me. Sherbourne is quite booked as they have a 6 mo waiting list just for counseling, i'm glad i found somewhere local to get counseling.

Although I'm in Kingston I know of both clinics that Jessica mentioned.  I myself went to the Sherbourne Clinic when it first opened up but since then it has become extremely busy.  I eMailed them at info@sherbourne.on.ca asking them for clinics/Dr's in Kingston who would prescribe and they pointed me to a couple of places here. You may try is to get into the 410 with your letter and ask them for a prescription with enough refills to cover a six month period.  That way you will be able to drop the prescription off at any Shoppers Drug or the like.  My Dr has no problem prescribing with enough refills to cover a 3 month period and I live in the same city she practices in.  Worth a try.

Hi Caitlin, I'm from around the KW area too. I'm more towards the Brantford side.
What I wanted to say to you is, If you have your letter, your reg. doctor could prescribe them for you. :)

Hey I know this is late but McMaster has a couple of endo supporting trans people. I also thought you might want to know the Hamilton Aids Network runs a peer support group and has listings of info.

Avoid the Clarke Clinic like the plague.  I will leave it at that.  Its not a friendly place for trans women.
