While the "get some sense girl" comment was a little unusual, Susan's post as a whole was very valid advice. It is unlikely that someone will be able to hide their past for the rest of their life, unless they know some things about the art of deception that I don't. I think Rose just took things a little too personally. Good-natured advice is often times misconstrued as overbearing superiority.
Alas, limitations of text, I know them well.
