Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender people in Kent have been urged to report homophobic and transphobic crimes to ensure they are fully investigated.

A campaign has been launched to raise awareness of Kent Police's free 24-hour homophobic and transphobic reporting line ahead of the International Day Against Homophobia on Saturday.

Assistant Chief Constable Dave Ainsworth said: "Hate crime is unacceptable and we are working with partner organisations to ensure the community understands this behaviour is not tolerated and Kent Police will investigate each reported incident thoroughl
