I want to applaud Mr. Uihlein for his willingness to bring his housing plight to the surface yesterday. Ohio University prides itself on its acceptance of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community; however, homophobia is still a prevalent problem on this campus. This is true with closet homophobia: people who will state that they support the LGBT community in public but show their true colors when a situation like Mr. Uihlein's arises.
