Ever since I was around 4 years old I have always had a thing for purses. I was always going through my moms closet and trying them on. I remember wanting one for my fifth birthday, but that didn't happen. But as I got older I always liked wearing them and I always noticed when my mom got a new one. ;D When my aunt moved in with us I was in heaven between all of the purses in her and my moms closets, it was great, briefly anyway. anyways, enough of my blabbing, what do you think about these accessories?

I can't think what I would do without a purse, where would I put my stuff :)  Last count I have 10 purses, two clutches, and two large tote bags that I use to carry things I need at work; lunch, change of shoes, umbrella etc...  I still haven't found the perfect purse yet.

Yep they're essential :)

Dam high maintainence femmes  :D

I have everything in a wallet that I need.

I could just see me in my leather pants, vest with boots with a floral purse over my shoulder.  Hell I'd be banned from the Dyke club forever.

Laura Elizabeth:
HAndbags, girl. handbags for this girl. I have tried purses but they are too small for books, make up nail polish, keys, organizers,  and all the other stuff there that I forgot what is it in the bag, oh  my god that is bad.  Clutches for the club big enough for condoms, lube, lipstick and keys and id.
but for work and cruising, bags are the ticket for this girl

I bought a Sonoma Handbag at Goodwill today. Its pretty cool, although its a tad bigger than what I would normally wear. But, I still like it and the strap is the perfect length for my height, and it was only $3.00.  :)

Any bag at $3.00 is a good bag :)

Don't laugh but when I got my first purse about 6 months ago I had to hug it. It just felt so good having it. Now I have two this one is off white for summer time. Oh the first one I got was black leather from Salvation army and it looked new. The second one is from good will and it looked new until I started using it.
I'm still look for the perfect one that is small and light weight but when you open it up you could fit everything you own in it if you wanted too. Cause I'm always need something that I don't have with me when I'm out. But purses/ handbags are great and any real woman wouldn't be without one. There great protection too.  I can swing one down on a would be attacher before they know what hit them.

Careful Jillieann, I know lots of "Real women" who don't carry purses.

Cindi

Cindi,

You probably use the tape to see if people measure up to your standards!   ;)

My Mom has lots of purses, but none of hers really fit my style one bit.  I bought a couple purses for juniors two months ago on sale at Kohls for under $20.00.  One black one and a white one.  Both are made by Mudd and are very nice.  I keep my powder compact, Kleenex, manicure kit, nail polish, lipstick, mascara, wallet, credit cards, ID, check book, pen, keys and no more than $20.00 cash for emergencies.  The black one has so many darn compartments that I sometimes forget which one I put my car keys in.  Lol!   ;D

Omigosh! I could never really see what women could see in a "purse", or why they would swoon over a $1200 D&G. Well over the last 2 years I have been building a wardrobe more suited to business or everyday casual style, so I could eventually get out into a more public setting. So I had to buy a purse for every occaision, and to match my wardrobe. Well to make a long story short, I'm up to eight purses, and I am absolutely hooked. I can't get enough. I even have one bag large enough to carry a second pair of shoes (for when my favorite pumps really start to hurt) For my Christmas present I am going to buy myself a black Coach shoulder bag. I am so into them that I have a couple of smaller size messenger bags which I use daily when I'm dressedin drab. I remember an episode of Will and Grace when Jack asked Karen how she could make love to a man she didn't love - Karen's answer was something like "point your heels to the ceiling honey, and think new purse"

So have fun with it girls! Hugs, Jen

I don't know what I would do without a purse. I just bought one yesterday for 40 dollars at Penny's. I have so many purses, I think I have a fetish or something. I love them. I tried to downsize this summer but there was no room in the silly little one that I went out  and bought a bigger one. I love the one I just bought, raspberry leather with extra wide straps. I love the extra wide straps as it is very comfortable when carrying for a long time. I have a lot of room now for my paper work and all my essentials. I don't know how I did it with a wallet all those years. I know my wallet was extra thick and I felt like I was sitting on an angle. Love the purse.

Yeah, a wallet definitely caused some back problems for me and I ditched my wallet at the beginning of transition.  I started using a backpack while in male mode and used it like a purse.  Now I just use a purse pretty much all of the time.
