Obama Backs California Law Permitting Same-Sex Marriage
by FOXNews.com

Barack Obama told a San Francisco-based Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender on Sunday that he opposes a California measure that would ban same-sex marriage.

Prop 8 was added to the November ballot after the state supreme court ruled that a previous voter initiative barring gay marriage was unconstitutional.

"I am proud to join with and support the LGBT community in an effort to set our nation on a course that recognizes LGBT Americans with full equality under the law," reads the Obama letter, available on the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club Web site.

Well, this shows something. Not sure what; but it's public and that means he'll pretty much have to stand behind it. Or at least in its general vicinity.

I'm just imagining that what it says is that tekla's right and the irreligious right has finally gotten to the point that they don't matter like they once did, and the bathroom frenzy and the "destruction of Amerika" by same-sex married folk is going to show most people just how far away they have moved from anything remotely of concern to the vast majority.

If they wanna have the ears of all the members of the "Most High and Apostolic Laying on of Hands Church of An Angry God, Hell-Fire Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus, Bearer of the Sword of Slaying, and In His Name One True and Forever Exalted Church," then that's fine with me.

Surely there's a gazebo somewhere in Mississippi they can meet at and discuss their concerns.

And the McCain group see "flip-flopping" in that statement? How so?

Since they have both said that states should be the decision-makers on their marriage laws and McCain has made commercials for the repeal side, I'm not certain how the idiots manage to make this out as any different than their own candidate's "flip-flopping."

I suppose at this point they feel, even if they refuse to actually look at it and read it, the writing on the wall and are hoping that if they throw enough excrement at the wall and have enough of it stick that others will not notice the handwriting?
