Activism Doesn't Come Cheap


A reader forwarded this invite to an upcoming fundraiser being held to
help offset the cost of attending the Democratic National Convention
in Denver for two members of New York's delegation, Melissa Sklarz and
Corey Johnson.

Unlike the many elected officials who are doing double-duty as
delegates, both district-level and at-large, activists like Johnson
and Sklarz don't have campaign committees that can pay for their
convention expenses - and there are a lot.
