The Female Stereotype: How I Don't Fit It

http://evalawrie.wordpress.com/2008/11/29/the-female-stereotype-how-i-dont-fit-it/

I know stereotypes can serve a purpose, but generally, I really don't like them.  Especially gender stereotypes.  They feel to me like jeans that are too small... confining and like you don't have any room to breath.  I hear people talk all the times about certain aspects of "women" and I think, "Hey, wait a second... I'M not like that.  Where in the world are you getting your information?"

Sometimes I get the opportunity to share my experiences as a woman and disspell myths, but far more often than I'd like, I just have to let it go.  That irks me.  So, for my own mental health, I've come here to outline one more example of a woman who doesn't fit the female stereotype of this society.  You/We already know lots of women who don't in one way or another, so just let me be one more on the list (and if you don't have a list, let me be the first)...
