Hi NancyAnn,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1660 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.   :icon_hug:

Yes, it isn't good to self medicate.  Many have but it isn't safe.  And we can't discuss dosages.  But that are sites for this.  I can't not give them to you here.  If you would like it, please PM.

Janet

HI NancyAnn
and a big welcome. Try ans see a therapist. The hormones are very potent and can cause massive liver damage. As you are now part of the family talk. There is lots of help and advice.
Love

Hi NancyAnn,

Welcome to Susan's Place, I'm not sure if i understood what you said about always too busy, if you ment yourself i can understand and if you are serious about transition and i think you are, you need to find time somehow to see a therapist. If on the other hand the therapist is always too busy try to find another one. I was doing hry diy for 8 months, but have been seeing a great therapist and am scheduled to see the Endo on 2/17 to get monitored and do this the right way. And as Janet said discussing dosages is not allowed.

Paula.

Nancyann, welcome.

Firstly, relax.

Secondly, explore our site.

Thirdly, ask questions of us all if you need answers to anything.

Fourthly, you are not alone.

Fifthly, try not to run before you can walk.

Sixthly, remember that the professionals are just that, they do not have to live our lives in the real nasty world.

Seventhly, trust your instincts because they are your greatest asset. Women know best and you are a woman.........

Eighthly, you are in charge so kick ass if you need to, it is your life.

GOOD LUCK.

I have tried to talk to a therapist and every time i tried the same old question came up
how are you going to pay
tried to get a therapist online and the same old thing came up. for so much money i can give you a letter for you to start your hormone treatment
this is not the first time i have tried to do it on my own, and the only reason i stopped is i listened to people that said it was dangerous to my health
i have been online and researched the hormones for transition and read all the bad side affects
and i know it is bad for my health
this decision dose not come lightly i have read all about the good and the bad
in short i will become me no matter what it takes

Welcome, NancyAnn!

You sound like you may be quite young (In your 20s mayhaps) and rather inexperienced with dealing with the greed rampant in world.  There's good, good news for you:

Hang in there, Hun.  Persist.  You may have to call many therapists until you find one who cares about YOU and not about money.  Keep on calling.  You will find somebody to help you.

Use your own good sense that you were born with to judge the therapists you talk to.  How to maximize your own good sense?  Trust yourself.  Confidence.  Belief.

It really is true that persistence constitutes the "right stuff" of success in any endeavor.  You'll find the therapists and doctors who are right for you, but you must seek.  Then, you will surely find.

Just believe, Babes.   Just believe.
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

Hi NancyAnn, welcome to Susans from me also. I think the others made some valid points concerning DIY and trying to do it on your own. The potential for harm is great and no one here wishes a Sister harm. You dont say where you are from. Perhaps someone here can assist you in finding a Therapist. No one here is against you, they are only offering help. Please stay around and let them try, it wont cost you a dime. Hugs
