It sucks that therapist costs are so *&%*$% expensive. I was lucky enough to still be under my parents insurance when I was younger to see one. Unfortunately I turned 18 and wasn't in school, so it was cut. And after seeing the endo once for $250, and needing to go back a few times before starting T, it got to expensive for my dad, being my parents had just went through a divorce. I sat on my papers, saying I was ready for T for almost 6 years. Moved out to Cali, and all it took was one freaking visit to a clinic to have my prescription. I understand the procedures and "guidlines" therapists and clinics have to follow, but it sucks a lot of states require so much.
On the topic of your family putting together a jar, is awesome. I've watched a couple of videos of yours on YouTube, and you remind me a lot of myself a few years ago. I'm not sure of your age, but if you're under 25, and in school, you could still be on your parents insurance? Which means you could get help with therapy..
