I don't imagine, if you consider yourself to be an atheist, that this line of
questions will hold much interest for you, but your constructive input
would be appreciated, none the less. For those among of us who
would consider their spirituality to be a slight more ambiguous:

Firstly, do you believe that intelligent design keeps the ratio of sexual
balance as equal as it appears or is there a more natural mechanism
that keeps the scales from tipping to far from one side to the other?

Secondly, what is the purpose of the physical differences between the sexes?

Thirdly, if you believe in reincarnation, do you believe that it is possible to
comfortably incarnate as the opposite gender, into this "material" realm?

Fourthly, do you believe the realm beyond "The Dark Glass" is
as tangible as the current, or is it of a more ethereal nature?

Lastly, do you believe that there are separate and distinct genders in
the spiritual realms, if so what is the purposes of these distinctions?

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

By design or by mechanics things seem to seek balance, and systems seek equilibrium.  Beyond that, Hypotheses non fingo.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Nichole,

May I assume then, from the delineation that you presented of you belief system
that, you consider the supreme deity which you worship to be of a female nature?

If this is the case, would it also be safe for me to assume that, according
to your belief system that you believe there are deities of a male nature?

If so, what is the purpose of the difference between the genders
of these spiritual beings and why would we assume that the female
and not the male would be the superior and worthy of worship?

Or perhaps, do you feel that by worshiping a superior feminine being that
you are poking your finger in the collective eye of a patriarchal society?

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

Since we're together, we might as well say,

So perhaps, assuming, if there is an absence of "maleness", there might actually be
a genderless singularity of "beinghood" in the "beyond", not necessarily female?

I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

Nichole portion of m...ur uh... rather, Dear Nichole,

The catalyst for the above line of questioning comes from my basic belief that
before I was born, I came from "somewhere" and when I close these eyes for the
last time, in this realm, I assume that I will return to whence I have come. I further
believe the reason that "I Am" here is to gain some sort of insight into what it means
to exist and why. Perhaps by forming the "correct" questions, the answers may present
themselves (if you will permit me) as a trail of breadcrumbs back to the "Source".
I don't expect any one single belief to possess the key to unlock the mysteries of the
universe but perhaps by being able to understand others beliefs and how they have
formed them, out of the "collective consciousness", I may be able to understand
what "I Am" and finally lay down the well worn trowel that I have used all these
many years to build facade, after facade, after facade...

Although I'm an atheist, I can disregard the spiritual or religious components because they're not a prerequisite for a dualist hypothesis (which is actually what this is, really).

The sense of self, subjective experience/qualia etc. is so vivid that it's very common for folks to think there must be something beyond the material, corporial existence. Some other domain from or to which they transition.  Some argue with passion and vehemence for this but, alas, it is still "argument from incredulity". :)

QuoteFirstly, do you believe that intelligent design keeps the ratio of sexual
balance as equal as it appears or is there a more natural mechanism
that keeps the scales from tipping to far from one side to the other?

Yes. As in the Ying and the Yang.  Male and female.

QuoteSecondly, what is the purpose of the physical differences between the sexes?

Balance of forces.  Reproduction is just a chance happening.

QuoteThirdly, if you believe in reincarnation, do you believe that it is possible to
comfortably incarnate as the opposite gender, into this "material" realm?

I have always said that when I was coming to this realm, I bumped into the soul that was headed for this body and we wound up in the wrong body.  Some where out there is a FtM that has my body.

QuoteFourthly, do you believe the realm beyond "The Dark Glass" is
as tangible as the current, or is it of a more ethereal nature?

It on another plane of existence.  Like another world or time.  A real place but more on the supernatural side.

QuoteLastly, do you believe that there are separate and distinct genders in
the spiritual realms, if so what is the purposes of these distinctions?

In the other realm there is a distinction between the two but more on an energy level than appearances or gender.

I am Polytheism.  I believe in the Goddess and the God and the four Spirits of the elements.  These gods have a dark side, just like humans. But they are not evil or menevelant, but they can have their moods.

I also beileve in reincarnation.
