October 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Leslie Cochran, a reputed cross-dresser of Austin,Texas has received fatal injury. As stated by the sources, he was found in an unresponsive condition on 3rd October and was transported to the hospital immediately for treatment. The sources stated that there is no remarkable improvement in the present condition of Leslie Cochran. It was reported that Cochran has reached a semi-vegetative state and his condition was quite critical.

Very sad.  I don't know about the being popular thing, but he was certainly a character.  I can't imagine why he was in the road at that intersection.
