Does anyone have any good links to resources for friends and family? I had a few, but my computer went kaput and i lost them.

I came out to my closest friend a few days ago and she was very accepting - asked tons of questions, very curious. However she did express concerns about me and our friendship - would i change, what would change, would i act differently, etc.

I told her i wasn't going to suddenly start liking football and that i wasn't going to suddenly hate dogs. She would still be my closest friend and i didn't see ANYTHING about our friendship changing. I wasn't going to change suddenly, or even a lot - i'll still be me, i'll still act like me, i'll just be as i'm supposed to be: male. But i would like some resources i can give her so she knows what to expect as i come out to the rest of my friends and my family.

Something for my parents would be nice too.

I won't have a therapist appointment for a bit (have to get referral from my GP next week) and would like something to give to her now.

I have a wonderful pamphlet saved when the day comes that I need it.

It's called "Families in TRANSition" and it was done by... some group in canada? Details escape me right now. Very family-focused, and marvelously well-composed.

I know links usually aren't cool, but you can probably find it without too much trouble, it's a PDF file.

Alright, found it, it's by the Central Toronto Youth Services (ctys[dot]org)
