Leon County LGBT ordinance discussion focuses on context

The specific issue was whether expanding the ordinance might increase protection and lessen discrimination for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people.
It is interesting to note that many proponents and opponents of the initiative found it difficult to focus on the text, but rather focused on context. Thus there were arguments made against homosexual practice per se and appeals, on both sides, to ultimate moral and religious values.
