While at Trans Unity Pride, I spent some time with Amy and Mimi, who were closer friends that I was to Christine Daniels. The three of us discussed Christine's passing. In talking to Amy, I learned that this last of the mainstream articles (well, at least the last one I'm aware was in the works) had published in the June issue of GQ.

The whole article isn't online -- only a summary -- so on the way home from San Diego I bought a copy of the June issue of GQ that's currently on the news stands. My first read of the article was literally in the 7/11 parking lot.

This article filled in more details of the story of Christine's/Mike's detransition and death by suicide, including details of some of the Los Angeles Times office dynamics that contributed to Christine's isolation and bipolar depression, hospital stays related to her transition and detransition stress, how she loved and missed her ex-wife Lisa, and how she committed suicide.
