Sinnyo

.. for a while I thought there wasn't one!

I go by "Sinnyo". You'd be forgiven for thinking that an odd name, but that's name generators for you! I'm surprised that such a large forum as this escaped my attention as I've been hopping about trans-related blogs and YouTube channels for a year now, however I've been referred by a friend and am honoured to make your acquaintance.

It's early days for me: I finally pieced my ->-bleeped-<- together after years of confused fantasies, habits and tendencies, and I only started seeking help last year. I'm now in that wonderfully turbulent spin cycle we call the NHS waiting list.

I was born male but have never identified with it, instead dealing with wonderful but persistent and frightening fantasies of womanhood for as far back as I care to remember. It's finally made some sense to me in my early 20s now, so I'm setting about putting my life back on track in order to move on.

So, I'm pleased to meet you!

Welcome to Susan's, Sinnyo.  :icon_flower:

There's a lot of good information and good people here.  Each of our stories is unique but we have a lot in common.  Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore.

Be sure to look under the Announcements heading.  There you will find the rules we live by in this little world of ours:
Look through the other stuff there, too.

I'm in the States, so I didn't have to deal with NHS but there are many here who do and have and can commiserate.  Some of your story is similar to mine, but it took me a lot longer to finally do something about it.  I'm happy for you that you are dealing with it as young as you are.

Happy exploring. :icon_wave:

Hi Sinnyo, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 5000 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out the links Kate has mentioned.  ;)

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Hey Sinnyo, welcome to Susans  :)

Yeah the NHS waiting list isn't fun. I had to wait 9 months for my first appointment but now i've had it things are going quicker.

Sinnyo

Aiieee, 9 months, not fun. But light at the end of the tunnel is what makes it worthwhile bearable! ;)

Thanks very much for your warm welcomes!

Get comfortable.  Get involved.  Be yourself.

We're about acceptance.  Isn't The Internet amazing?  You've got a worldwide community of people you can talk to and relate to ... right here.

Glad you're here.

..Crikey!? I thought your avatar looked vaguely familiar, but that's insane! You're right - feels quite isolated down here. But wow!

Um.

hola

NHS waiting lists suck...I'm still technically waiting for my referral to see someone in southampton and I set those wells in motion months ago. it's almost like they want to drive us to self fund. hehe

Hey Sinnyo!

Best of luck with the NHS stuff.  From everything I hear, they can be difficult to work with for gender things.

Oh, and nice to meet you! ^.^/
